We wanted to know how employees are impacted by workplace cleanliness, so we took an in-house survey of our employees across our different departments to gather their perspectives on this topic reflecting our offices and work stations. We hope this provide share some insights for other business owners and managers surrounding your company culture and how your employees feel about a clean work environment. We found a few examples that we can generalize below:

Marketing Department
Our Marketing Department focuses on promoting our brands both internally and externally. Aside from traditional advertising roles associated with creating media as well as content, our marketing department works closely with all our brand and managers to assist with the improvement and promotion of our company cultures. When it comes to office cleanliness, here’s what we found:
A clean work environment in the marketing department makes promoting a high-quality business easier while reducing time wasted on editing content. This allows us to provide real-time promotion of transparent services which positively impacts customer/employee retention.

Service Managers
Our Service Managers focus on crafting a team that meets all our standards. They are responsible for the technical oversight of the services we offer as well as the hiring of staff and final inspections of their work. When it comes to our service managers, here’s what our survey found:
Service Managers believe cleaning is essential to their departments since it promotes a healthy work environment. They believe presentation is important in their department as cleanliness will give their clients, workers, prospects, and others a good first impression of their business.
Our service managers informed us that consistent cleaning reinforces the level of value a company places on cleanliness. Likewise they believe that if a work place is clean, it directly means their employer cares about their company, the people in it, and how they are represented to their community.
Some responses also stated that cleanliness in the workplace affects overall health of individuals in the working environment and that cleanliness can directly impact their overall mood when working.
Administrative/Reception positions
Our administrative and receptionist positions are the lifeblood of our customer service. They provide our first person-to-person impression via phone or on site whenever someone comes in, handling any client inquires, questions, and clerical necessities such as scheduling and documentation.
Customer Service Representatives and Administrators agree that a clean work environment allows their department to run more efficiently. They stated that if their workplace is dirty this take away from their everyday tasks of organization and customer service.
While our customer service team believes that a clean work environment reflects well on a business, clients and visitors make it clear that they want to walk into a clean environment. Our survey informed us that customers often comment on our high standard of cleanliness when they walk into our businesses.
Customer service representatives and leaders also mention that cleanness can reduce their overall stress and anxiety while a dirty office can be very distracting from their job responsibilities.
Accounting Department
Our Accounting Team handles financial information across all our brands and team members. They are essential to efficient operations while maintaining profits and understanding key business goals. When it comes to our Accounting Department and workplace cleanliness, here’s what our survey found:
Accounting employees agree that cleanliness allows them to stay organized in their department while empowering them to do their job at their fullest potential. They believe that a clean work environment says the employer cares about their employees and that a clean workplace reflects highly on employers.
Accounting staff also argues that a clean work environment allows for fewer sick employees reducing needed sick days among coworkers. This department claims it reduces their overall stress/anxiety which allows them to work with a clear mind.
